Plan and layout own work selecting proper tools, adjusting speeds, feeds, tooling and operational sequences as indicated by the situation. Install machining program and adjust machine accordingly. Run manually as required. Run new programs noting variations from program specifications, reporting them to Programmers for revision and adjusting machine as necessary to correct for deviations. Select and prepare tools to meet varying conditions and materials. Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operational sequences as needed to resolve machining problems. Initiate process change and adjustment requests and maintain accurate record of operations including Statistical Process Control charting. Help and instruct newer machinists. Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed to meet production schedules.Qualifications:
