Machinist
Shift: 2nd
Setup and Operate Turret Lathes (4L/4A and smaller), CNC Lathes, Large Groovers, Manual and CNC Mills. Produce correctly machined parts per print from only a casting and blueprint, hand sketch, or part sample. Perform precision machining to close tolerances, checking own work with precision measuring instruments. Produce correctly machined parts in satisfactory quantities, and at a satisfactory production rate. Make proper chuck jaw selection, tool selection, and sharpen basic cutting tools and drills. Ability to read and understand CNC G-Code, make tool offsets, and program taper adjustments. Operation of Lift Trucks and Jib Cranes. Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed to meet production schedules. Temporary assignment to various duties/equipment, including Class D equipment when necessary. Work in a safe manner, wear required PPE. Maintain 5S standards in your area.Qualifications:
Experienced Machinist with strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and knowledge of fractions and decimals. Ability to follow instructions and communicate in English, both verbal and written.
