Tool Room Supervisor
Shift: 1st
The Tool Room Supervisor oversees the design, manufacture, preparation, storage, organization, distribution and ordering of all standard and special tooling and fixturing for WC's main Machine Shop processes. The goal of this position is to provide the most cost effective tooling and fixturing needed for all the machining operations with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Qualifications:
The person we seek should be a Journeyman Toolmaker or possess comparable knowledge through a combination of education and Tool Making experience. An Associate’s Degree in Tool Making, Tool and Die or Machining or a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is strongly preferred. Five years of tooling experience including at least two years of experience in a supervisory or lead role are desired. Strong skills in CAD, computers, communication and prioritization are also needed. Experience with budget creation and adherence and tooling cost reduction is preferred.
