Career Opportunities
Our individual facilities employ people in a variety of disciplines. Some of those are described here.
Metallurgical and Product Engineering
We utilize individuals with education and experience in Metallurgical and other Mechanical Engineering areas in roles which include R&D, foundry methods, materials, management, sales, and to provide direct sales contact with our customers.
Manufacturing Engineering
Individuals with education and experience in Manufacturing Engineering are needed to prepare production process routings, lead facilities and methods improvements and perform management jobs.
Plant and Industrial Engineering
The disciplines of Industrial and Plant Engineering are key to the continued growth of our facilities and the optimum utilization of staff and machines. Opportunities exist in leading facility improvement, method improvements, in assembling data for product costing and managing capital projects.
Manufacturing Management
Our diverse facilities provide opportunities for individuals with manufacturing supervision and management backgrounds from a variety of Industries. These are challenging and fast-paced positions requiring knowledge of specific manufacturing processes such as foundry processes and methods, machining, welding, heat treating, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance at MetalTek employs individuals with a variety of analytical and inspection backgrounds. Those include Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as radiography, penetrant inspections and ultrasound, metallurgical laboratory methods and dimensional inspection techniques such as CMM. Our QA staff is responsible to ensure that we live up to the highest customer expectations, our own tough quality standards, and those of our ISO and other certifying agencies.
Administration
Each of our facilities employs its own local Accounting, Production Planning, Human Resources, Training, Safety, Information Systems, Sales, Customer Service and Clerical staff. Unique opportunities exist at each location for individuals with education and background in these fields.
Skilled Crafts
Skilled craft employees are essentials to the success of our manufacturing efforts. We offer a broad range of skilled employment at our different facilities including foundry, machining, wielding, heat treating and maintenance trades. We are dedicated to the continued growth of individuals' skills, providing support through a variety of educational and training opportunities.
Operators (Semi-Skilled) Jobs
Numerous opportunities exist for individuals with sound reasoning, basic math and communications skills, and good mechanical aptitude. These positions include such duties as grinding, material handling, packaging, and shipping, cutoff saw operations, shot blasting, etc. Many of these positions involve on-the-job training for individuals with the right basic knowledge and skills. Success in these jobs, combined with continued educational effort can lead to further opportunities in the areas described above.
