Product Engineer
Description
MetalTek International has immediate opening at our Pevely facility for a Product Engineer. The Product Engineer will be responsible for developing tooling and practices to deliver high integrity products to a diverse customer base using any of several processes: static castings, forgings, fabrications, centrifugal castings, etc. At our Pevely facility, you will join a team of talented professionals using the most advanced facility in its industry to achieve world-class results.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree in metallurgical, mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent industry experience. Candidate must have foundry or heavy industry experience. Candidate should have a strong interest in casting engineering and continuous improvement of casting quality. Responsibilities also include job costing, using Mapics (our product costing software) for sales quotations and current products; therefore computer skills are a must (MS Office working knowledge required – especially EXCEL spreadsheets). Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. You should be a self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. In addition with interfacing with manufacturing, this person will also have significant customer interaction.

Sales Estimating Engineer
Description
Our Pevely facility is seeking a motivated, aggressive Sales Engineer that is eager to join our team. Position responsibilities include: Timely documentation, tracking and completion of all customer quotes. Accurate analysis of costs to insure bottom line margin goals. Thorough understanding of the internal facility’s manufacturing capabilities, engineering plans, and costing system. Willingness to learn capabilities and processes of outsource vendors that affect pricing to customer. Development, evaluation and modification of quoting system. Interdepartmental collaboration with manufacturing and engineering to insure best practices are quoted. Ready resource for sales department. Reports to Divisional Sales Manager.
Qualifications
A candidate must be able review and understand complicated customer drawings and specifications in order to establish a casting method, manufacturing plan, and cost. The position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, good computer skills, and an energetic person to grow within Carondelet Foundry. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or 2-5 years of relevant work experience is required for this position. Foundry knowledge and experience not required but strongly desired.

Technical Director
Description
MetalTek International has immediate opening at our Pevely facility for a Technical Director. This position is responsible for the leadership of technical and quality resources within the Foundry. The Technical Director ensures compliance with customer technical and quality requirements and regulatory agencies. This position is also responsible for the preservation and enhancement of the intellectual property of the division. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides leadership and direction for methods, metallurgical, plant, and quality assurance compliance. Directly responsible for implementation and maintenance of engineering departmental procedures and the quality system. Reports on the performance of engineering and quality assurance departments. Plans and maintains department budgets for their effective operation. Works with customers, as needed, to insure products conform to their requirements and meet the customer’s needs. Works with operations to enhance manufacturability of castings. Recruits employees; assigns, directs, and evaluates their work; oversees the development and maintenance of staff competence. Liaise with corporate and other company divisions to promote best practices, technical innovations and improvements. Collaborates with peers to manage the division toward business objectives.
Qualifications
Education: BS in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
