Title Core Maker
Shift 3rd
Description Perform all operations to make sand dies to proper specifications. Mix specified types and amounts of sand using sand mullers and operate continuous sand maker. Add necessary binders and other ingredients. Select core box, bench or floor making facilities and make cores to designated specifications. Inspect cores to insure quality. Check dimensional and surface quality. Fit and assemble multi-piece cores. Patch or repair cores as needed. Closely adhere to core-making procedures including controls, measures and documentation. Make recommendations for core making improvements. Perform grinding on castings. Assist and instruct new employees.
Qualifications Sand core making experience preferred. Solid math skills and experience with a variety of measuring instruments. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly. Must have or be able to attain forklift certifications. Experience with overhead cranes strongly preferred.



Title Die Prep. Blaster
Shift 3rd
Description Operate Blast Room to clean and prepare dies for foundry. Operate all department lift trucks, overhead cranes and related equipment to load and unload blaster and move materials as needed. Inspect dies and related equipment, including dimensional and visual evaluation, report findings and recommend repairs. Evaluate die condition and recommend method of repair. Perform grinding, welding and blending on dies as needed to repair. Assist in die kitting and foundry as needed. Perform necessary daily maintenance on blaster and other equipment used, reporting malfunctions and repair needs to Supervisor and Maintenance.
Qualifications Sound basic math skills. Able to obtain forklift operator’s license. Knowledge in use of micorometers and rules. Basic arc and gas welding skills. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Able to lift 50 lbs.



Title Industrial Engineer
Shift 1st
Description The primary objective of this job is to support floor operations. Whether it be revising the foundry methodology to decrease cycle time or designing and implementing a computer system to eliminate repetitive manual calculations, the candidate for this job must have the ability to develop and implement ideas to achieve continuous improvements and cost reductions.
Qualifications A BS in Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 3-5 years of experience. This individual should have the ability to comprehend and design systems dealing with information and part flow. Knowledge of computer systems, relational databases, and programming logic. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with process improvement methodologies and leadership within process improvement teams (Kaizen teams). Demonstrated ability to oversee a project from design through successful implementation. Experience with classic industrial engineering methodologies such as time study, setup reductions, writing procedures and standard work, etc.



Title Liquid Penetrant Inspector - Level II
Description Perform level II liquid penetrant inspection including application of penetrants and developers and visible and/or fluorescent inspection to identify defects. Perform cosmetic and investigative grinding as needed for test preparation and to determine seriousness of defects. Determine whether parts pass or fail inspection based on knowledge of defect seriousness and industry codes, standards, and customer specifications. Prepare necessary documentation of inspection process. Move parts by hand and using forklifts, hoists and other lifting equipment, to facilitate inspection. Maintain Liquid Penetrant Level II certification and perform or assist in other NDT disciplines as needed.
Qualifications Level II Liquid Penetrant Certification. Able to follow written and verbal instruction with minimal supervision. Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Math and language skills as normally attained through 4 years H.S. or equivalent.



Title Metallurgical Lab Technician
Shift 2nd & 3rd
Description Perform analyses according to established methods including sample preparation, operation of analytical equipment, calibration checks, calibration adjustment, recording and reporting results, and release of product and parts. Perform maintenance and trouble shooting on lab equipment. Cross train and perform a variety of lab testing as needed (sample prep, mechanical test, metallography, hardness testing, etc.). Rotate hours as needed to support production or department needs. Daily or weekend O.T. required. Initial skill set will be in physical testing. Review industrial specifications and develop, write or update test procedures.



Title Occupational Nurse
Shift 3rd
Description Provide emergency and urgent care to mployees who are ill or injured on site. Contact outside care providers to arrange further treatment as necessary. Record accurately all information pertinent to such illness or injury and its treatment. Maintain the sterile and functional status of the Health Services facilities and equipment including calibrating the audiometer and pulmonary function equipment and periodically inspecting oxygen tanks and emergency cart equipment. Monitor medical supplies and order replacements as needed. Schedule appointments and record results for screening programs including physical examinations, audiograms, blood leads, blood pressures and sound surveys. Conduct routine examinations related to the Company’s Health Maintenance program. Exams may include any or all of the following: updates to medical history records, recording of vital statistics, vision screening, spirometric, tonometric, audiometric, and venipuncture. Maintain records, complete necessary forms and reports and communicate with internal and external sources related to the following programs: disability benefits, health promotion, safety shoes and glasses, and employee assistance. Instruct employees annually cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other first aid techniques. Perform new employee Safety Orientations.
Qualifications Nursing license (RN or LPN) and 2-5 years nursing experience in an occupational and/or medical surgical environment is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA and other industrial regulations is desirable.



Title QA Inspector
Shift 3rd
Description Lead quality control planning and implementation for assigned area. Develop, modify and document good quality control practices, inspection plans, quality systems and procedures. Ensure that Company and customer quality and processing requirements are satisfied. Read and interpret drawings, specifications and procedures. Plan and perform check-piece, in-process, final, receiving and source inspection as needed. Prepare, calibrate and use a variety of measuring devices, including CMM. Serve as technical specialist on metrology, statistical methods and quality planning. Identify and control non-conforming product. Review documentation and release product for shipment, expediting release as needed. Train and assist other employees in quality and inspection activities. Resolve quality compliance problems with Inspection personnel or other WC departments and customer representatives as needed.
Qualifications Associates Degree in Quality Assurance or similar combination of education and work experience. Certification in Quality discipline preferred. Solid knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes. Experience/education in metrology and related inspection/quality control. Experience/education in developing and documenting procedures and in training others on procedures and techniques. Ability to travel occasionally. Excellent math, language and audit skills. Competent with standard computer software and data analysis (spreadsheet, word processing, statistical software). Assertive team player capable of identifying problems and look for solutions. Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Good communication skills. Ability to deal with manufacturing, customers and 3rd party inspectors or auditors.



Title Vertical Boring Mill Machinist
Shift 2nd & 3rd Shift
Description Set up, adjust and operate various sizes of Vertical Boring Mills to turn, bore, face, groove, recess, taper, etc. on a variety of work to very close tolerances, checking own work with measuring instruments as needed. Run multiple machines simultaneously. Work from routings, process sheets, die drawings and blueprints. Select speeds, feeds, tooling and operational sequence. Prove out and make minor edits to CNC programs. Position, align and secure work piece. May require the use of locating fixtures. Machines may be equipped with CNC controls or tracers. Select and prepare tools to meet varying conditions and materials. Lay-out and check own work. Actively participate in machining team efforts.
Qualifications Excellent knowledge of machining with several years experience with like machines and tooling. Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably G & L and/or Fanuc. Strong shop math and blueprint reading skills. Experienced in use of hoists and cranes. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
