OEM customers count on our Metallurgical and process expertise to make products that they produce for the nuclear market better. They leverage our alloy expertise and metalworking technologies to help make the best decisions for production of components that go into critical nuclear applications.
MetalTek Energy Products is the industry's only casting manufacturer that can provide fully NPT-stamped castings, with and without design responsibility:
Centrifugal
- Produced at four of our international facilities, we are the global leader in centrifugal casting technology and production, and pioneered advanced shaping of centrifugal castings. Designers leverage the benefits of the centrifugal concept to include very high integrity components in their products in sizes from inches to over 15 feet / 4.5m in diameter and 35 feet / 10m in length.
Sand
- Utilizing either our traditional or proprietary “No-Weld” HPLT process, nuclear customers source the highest quality sand castings in nearly any ferrous or non-ferrous alloy. Magma® simulation, state-of-the-art mold loops and robust in-house NDT facilities ensure the part is right.
Investment
- Offering a wide size range, customers come to MetalTek Energy Products for investment castings from ounces to more than 300# / 136kg ship weight in almost any ferrous or nickel based material. Consistent product produced using our state-of-the-art automated shell line give customers the ability to realize the potential of investment casting even in larger and low volume parts.
Continuous Casting
- For shaped components that are subject to further machining, continuous casting offers a very cost effective solution for machined parts in nearly any copper-based alloy.
Single Source option for nuclear cast components.
This is just one more example of a nuclear customer’s ability to source their entire bill of material at one stop.
