Bearium Metals provides the world market with Bearium®, a high-lead bearing bronze proven for more than 50 years to be a preferred material in critical severe friction environments. Bearium has demonstrated particular success in high stress applications where regular lubrication is difficult or impossible. Bearium has demonstrated the same long life and superior performance in cryogenic environments as well.
Bearium Metals, a part of Southern Centrifugal, can provide Bearium material in the configuration that you need. It can be cast to your specified design, machined to your required tolerance, or supplied as raw material in bar stock.
U.S. Government testing has demonstrated that Bearium performs even under extreme conditions, and will not melt like a Babbit or freeze on a shaft like a bronze. Bearium is renowned through the industry for its non-seizing and non-scoring qualities, even in the absence of lubrication. Its long-wearing characteristics offer life that is 2-12 times that of ordinary bearing materials. Its exceptional anti-frictional qualities lessen the tendency for wear.

- Centrifugal: Vertical to 49"/ 1,240mm diameter, Horizontal to 18.5" / 470mm diameter and 24" / 610mm length.
- Sand castings up to 10,000 lbs. / 4550kg pour.
- Bars, cored and solid, from 1/2".
