William Millspaugh, Sandusky's founder, developed and patented the first Suction Roll. With major facilities in the United States and Scotland, Sandusky utilizes centrifugal casting techniques to produce Stainless Steel and Bronze Suction Roll Shells, Polycast and Dual Metal Steel Shells. We are the only fully integrated suction roll manufacturer in the world.

Suction rolls made from our patented Alloy 86 duplex stainless steel, are recognized throughout North America as the industry standard for long life and reliability. Our A-86 LTG (Life Time Guarantee) Suction Roll Shells have gained rapid recognition in Europe and elsewhere as the replacement shell of choice among paper mills looking to extend life cycles and reduce the cost of unplanned failures. With service operations on four continents, you can be sure that Sandusky will be there quickly whenever you need help.
Over the years, the Sandusky product line has grown to include our Polycast Shells and complete roll products that utilize our core shell products such as suction rolls, felt rolls and press rolls. In addition our customers have benefited greatly from our many years in development of stainless steel alloys, and we provide certified stainless steel ingot and toll melting services to the cast stainless steel market.
Fast Track Service Centers
24 hour / 7 day a week rapid response service is available to all paper mills. Both on-site or in shop overhauls, repair and maintenance services are provided utilizing OEM spares and replacement parts. Services include machine audits and retrofit options to improve the performance of existing machines, roll regrinding, rejournalling, electropolishing and other repair and overhaul services.
Training
Five-day training courses are provided for Mill Maintenance personnel and other Technical, Production and Engineers/Managers. Contact us for more details.
