Southern is the world’s only provider of renowned Bearium® Metal used in high friction applications where component lubrication is often difficult or impossible. We also stock continuous cast bronze product available in a wide range of sizes and shapes. Personalized Engineering Services

Centrifugal Foundry
Our quality bronze centrifugal castings are used in industrial machinery and a multitude of other markets throughout the world. Near net shape dies allow us to cast flanged bronze bushings, blind ends, and large housings as well as sleeves, washers, and contour gear blanks.
Capabilities include:
- Centrifugal die shop. Large inventory of existing dies means we already may have the size you need.
- Induction melting.
- Vertical casting to 49” / 1240mm diameter.
- Horizontal casting to 18-1/2” / 470mm diameter, 24” / 610mm in length.
- Up to 3,000 lb. / 1,360kg pour.
Sand Foundry
Our large, well-equipped sand foundry, vast employee knowledge, and passion for excellence contribute to our reputation as a leading producer of bronze sand castings. Capabilities include:
- Fully-equipped pattern shop.
- Induction melting.
- Airset system.
