Stellarator Casting
Metal solutions are needed for all temperature extremes, both hot and cold environments. Research into fusion energy production using the Stellarator demanded alloys that must perform at extreme cryogenic temperatures of 77°K (-321°F/-196°C). MetalTek developed a proprietary stainless steel alloy for the cryogenic environment to produce a 13,000#/5,900kg casting with dimensional stability.
