Copper-Nickel

Copper-Nickel alloys are commonly used in marine applications due to their high resistance to erosion by rapid flowing seawater and alkalis (impingement attack). Adding nickel to the copper makes this a strong, corrosion resistant alloy with good machinability. Two common alloys are C96200 (90% copper and 10% nickel) and C96400 (70% copper and 30% nickel).
