Overview
This special gear alloy is used extensively for machine tool gears, threaded worm gear nuts, or elevating nuts where there is large surface area in contact. The lead addition reduces friction and affords easier machining in addition to extending service life under adverse conditions. Also referred to as leaded nickel-tin bronze.
