Alloy Grade UNS: HF – Chromium, Nickel and Carbon

  • Overview

The MTEK 20-10 alloy is also referred to as cast grade HF. A careful balance of the chromium, nickel, and carbon content insures a completely austenitic structure in this alloy, making it suitable for applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance in the 1200 to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit range. Because the structure is stable austenite, this alloy is not subject to embrittlement due to formation of sigma phase in service, even after long exposure to 1400 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures.

  • Typical Uses

Annealing boxes, annealing furnace components, burner tips, burnishing rolls, convection furnace components, and gas burner rings.
