Overview
CD4MCu combines outstanding corrosion resistance with nearly twice the strength of many stainless types. It can be age-hardened to increase its Brinell Hardness Number (BHN). This alloy has proven useful in sulphuric acid environments and seawater applications. It resists abrasive wear and galling, can be readily machined, and is weldable without preheating. This duplex alloy is also known as MTEK 29M.
Typical Uses
Centrifuge and dewatering equipment, couplings, heat exchangers, offshore piping systems, paper rolls, pulp digesters, pump and valve components, pressure vessels, sleeves, and flanges.
