Alloy Grade UNS: CN7M – High Nickel Non-Magnetic

  • Overview

CN7M has a high nickel content and with the addition of molybdenum and copper, this alloy has good resistance to sulphuric acid and many other reducing chemicals. It will resist dilute hydrochloric acid and chloride salt solutions. It does require solution annealing after exposure to temperatures between 800° and 1600° F. Wholly austenitic, this alloy is non-magnetic. The castings of this alloy have excellent machinability and fair welding characteristics.

  • Typical Uses

Heat exchanger parts, flanges, pickling rolls, pump parts, tank accessories, valve components, and centrifuge parts for chemical processing.
