Hastelloy alloys are ideal for high temperature, highly corrosive environments where lower grade iron-based alloys fail. A long-time aluminum bronze customer wished to move into the Hastelloy alloys for valves but had no supplier willing to develop them. Partnering with MetalTek in a joint alloy development effort, we collectively worked through process development, product testing, and valve field trials to devise products that the customer would machine and sell competitively. When our customer is successful, we are successful.
