AOD refining
Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD)
Carondelet is one of the few sand foundries with AOD capability with a capacity of 10,000 lbs. (4,536kg). The AOD process is an alloy refining process that helps achieve optimum cost and alloy control. AOD is required by specific grades, NORSOK Standards, and specified by various customers. For more information about AOD, see our blog post.
