Alloy Grade UNS: C92200 Copper-Tin Alloys

  • Overview

C92200 is a copper-tin alloy with high tensile, yield, and compressive strength as well as wear resistance. It is 88% copper and contains lead, tin, and zinc. This alloy is great for bushings and has lead added for better machinability. Also referred as Navy M, this alloy is corrosion-resistant to sea water.

  • Typical Uses

Bearings, bushings, gears, hydraulic parts, piston rings, steam fittings, steel mill nuts, worm gears.
