Alloy Grade UNS: M-30C – Acid and Alkaline Resistant

  • Overview

M-30C, also known as MTEK E, is a nickel-copper alloy specifically formulated for exceptional resistance to both acidic and alkaline environments. With a minimum of 60% nickel and up to 33% copper, along with a maximum of 0.5% aluminum, this alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance across a wide pH range. Its high nickel content contributes significantly to its ability to withstand aggressive chemicals and corrosive solutions. M-30C also possesses good tensile strength, making it suitable for applications where structural integrity is important. Furthermore, it is a weldable grade alloy, offering flexibility in fabrication and repair. This combination of corrosion resistance, strength, and weldability makes M-30C a valuable choice for demanding applications in chemical processing, pollution control, and other industries where resistance to both acids and alkalis is critical.
